The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) works to improve lives in Latin America and the Caribbean through financial and technical support for countries that are working to reduce poverty and inequality. IDB works largely in the public sector, aiding the improvement of health, education and infrastructure.
IDB approached CHIEF to help increase awareness of their efforts in the private sector. CHIEF established a new brand identity for the department for Structured and Corporate Finance, which we began with a refreshed name—Future Finance.

Future Finance represented a fresh outlook for the department that oversaw the IDB Group’s financing of large banks and private sector investments in nearly all economic sectors in Latin America and the Caribbean. After establishing their foundational identity and key marketing collateral, CHIEF carried Future Finance’s messaging forward through the development of an iPad application.
This app featured a complex user experience (UX) analysis and structure because brand ambassadors would present the app to various external stakeholders to raise awareness. This meant that rather than having a focused audience of end users, the app needed to appeal to a wider user base. Our UX and content strategy experts worked closely with Future Finance to create an experience that was easy for Future Finance staff to use while still being engaging for their external audiences. With a new brand position and identity in place, Future Finance was able to better fulfill its critical role within the IDB.
