Unlike Uber, the goal with BlackJet was to offer an annual subscription service for members to book seats on flights using the start-up’s network of private jets. BlackJet’s investors included celebrities like Jay Z, Will Smith, and Ashton Kutcher, and tech execs like Marc Benioff.
